There's something very special about the sunlight in Sydney during winter. It's hard to capture but it's expansive and bright and as it filters through the trees at the back of the garden and rests on the table things look a lot more summery than they feel.

I'm getting to grips with our new camera so there will be a few photo posts over the coming week. Hopefully, there will be marked improvement in the quality of the photos. I guess that depends on how well I read the manual, right?
